I never was such a social person, most of my teenage I was critical of everyone, and keep myself away from anyone with the tiniest flaw, this all changed when I took someone's advise to be friend to anyone's good side, and never get affected by their downside.
To an extent, this was very helpful, and I've made friends with almost everyone at collage, but still didn't go out on a friendship spree, it was still all limited to people who were interested in knowing me more than me imposing on everyone I meet.
Most of us follow 'whom you don't need today, you might need tomorrow", but I don't consider this a real friendship, it's fake, sad, and shows how hollow people relations have become.
I've only met/made handful of good friends throw my 20s, early 30s, I've always thought any good relation with a friend would last....BUT it doesn't.
Good friends come with their own life, problems, and expectations, some move forward, some backward, they never stay around, because people- all people don't plan their life based on friendship rather than family for example, and I respect that.
With all that said I really want to send out this message to any friend I lost down the line:
"Hi, what happened to us my friend?
Why did we have to fall apart?
Scrap my last question, as long as you are doing fine
If not, then I'm always here for you
Wishing you all the best wherever you are"
Note; I didn't tag or name any certain person for privacy reasons, also I didnt write this out of boredom or loneliness, I currently have great friends, it's merely a tribute to other friends I lost along the way.
Regards;
